During pregnancy emotions run high. From excitement to joy, anxiety to panic, a woman may experience a complete range of emotions while pregnant.

So what type of pregnancy emotions may you experience?

The First Trimester

The first trimester can be a roller coaster of pregnancy emotions. For planned pregnancies, a woman may experience joy, happiness and anxiety about the new life she is growing inside her.

An unplanned pregnancy may bring feelings of fear, worry, panic and uncertainly. Most pregnant women experience fatigue and moodiness during the first trimester of pregnancy.



The Second Trimester

The second trimester of pregnancy is often called the honeymoon phase because physically you may begin to feel like your old self. But the pregnancy emotions set in this trimester and many women experience moments of forgetfulness and mixed feelings about their ever growing abdomens.

During the end of this trimester, many pregnant women deal with pregnancy emotions that impact their relationships. They begin to wonder if they are still attractive to their partner and wonder how their baby will change their relationship and life.

The Third Trimester

The third trimester is marked with an intense desire to be organized and prepared for baby. Many emotions begin to flood a pregnant women’s mind as her body prepares for birth. Some women feel extremely anxious about labor and delivery. Others relaxingly look forward to the life-changing experience.
